She was the captain of both the 2012 "Fierce Five" and 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams that were winners in their respective teams competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London she won gold medals for the floor and team events, in addition to the bronze medal for the balance beam, making her the most recognized American gymnast in the Games. She was awarded a gold medal in team competitions at the 2016 Olympics. Gabby Douglas who was on her team also received gold. Raisman also won silver in the individual all-around and floor exercise. Raisman won silver medals for the individual all-around in addition to the floor exercise. She has also been two-time national champion in the floor exercise (2012 in 2012 and 2015) and the 2012 national champion on the balance beam, and five times medalist in the all-around at the national championships (silver in 2016, and bronze in 2010, 2011, 2012, and also in 2015). She was inducted into International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2013).
